Pat Todd
Pat creates jewellery based on the spiral ammonite form, and is inspired by the environment in which she lives and works. She uses opulent materials such as white gold, gold lustre and coloured glazes but the form, she emphasises, remains very pure and simple.
Following a period working with a ceramic artist in London, Pat began to produce her own ceramic pictures, building up layer to produce work that has a wonderfully tactile texture and rustic look, in white box frames. The pictures are drawn from the Suffolk landscape and might include a row of beach huts at Southwold or a Martello tower at Felixstowe.
