Colin Slee
“I first began to love the Suffolk countryside and coastline during a cycling holiday based in Woodbridge in 1993. Three years later, I realised my dream of living here and have been painting and exhibiting in the area ever since. Holidays in other parts of the UK as diverse as the Isle of Skye, Northumberland and Dungeness in Kent, stimulate my imagination and generate work that reflects the beauty, loneliness and entire atmosphere of these places. I absorb the look and feel of the area and recreates it in the studio using acrylic, pastel and charcoal, often in combination, on canvas, board or paper depending on the way I wish to portray the subject.”
